About Them

A high-growth B2B AI company that centralises customer feedback from every channel and transforms it into actionable insights — serving product, CX, and GTM teams at leading technology companies. Backed by top-tier investors, they're building AI agents to help businesses understand and act on the voice of the customer.

What are they looking?

They're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team — a cross-functional group of 7–10 senior engineers responsible for data ingestion, an AI-powered taxonomy system, the analytics engine, and the interfaces and microservices that power them. You'll partner with a Staff Engineer who owns architecture and technical vision, while you own execution, quality, and team health.

Reports to: CTO Location: Bangalore (in-office)

Responsibilities

  • Own cycle time from "ready for dev" to production — identify bottlenecks, remove them, measure improvement
  • Reduce production incidents through better practices, not more bureaucracy
  • Establish how work enters the team and maintain a single prioritised backlog with the PM
  • Protect the team from chaos — field requests from Sales, CS, and Support while keeping relationships intact
  • Partner with the Staff Engineer on a clear division: they own architecture, you own execution and people
  • Run effective 1:1s, give real feedback, and develop engineers at all levels
  • Own hiring — source, interview, and close great engineers

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years as an engineer before moving into management
  • 3+ years managing engineering teams of 3–8 people
  • Startup experience (Series B–D) — comfortable operating with urgency and limited resources
  • Track record improving delivery velocity and reducing incidents (with numbers)
  • Strong stakeholder management — you've handled competing GTM requests without burning bridges
  • Bonus: experience with cross-functional teams, data-intensive products, or strong engineering culture reference points
