Your Mission
At Propeller, we're on a mission to take the guesswork out of moving dirt – reducing wasted fuel, time, and money. We have amazing customers who love our product and use it to build critical infrastructure all around the world, but they don't know about us! Are you the person who can tell our story to the world?
As our Creative Director, you’ll be building a high-impact, in-house creative engine that amplifies our brand and resonates globally. We're looking for a leader with a modern approach - someone who can craft engaging and viral video content that connects with our audience. This is your chance to make a significant mark, shaping how our compelling story of innovation and impact reaches thousands of worksites worldwide. If you're ready to combine sharp creative instincts with operational rigour to scale our brand and build a content machine from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
Here’s what you’ll do
- Build and scale a robust creative system: Design and implement clear guidelines and processes to ensure consistent, high-impact creative across all platforms and partnerships. This includes setting clear expectations and holding yourself and others accountable to deliver success.
- Drive a high-velocity content engine: Lead the production of compelling assets, with a strong focus on both polished and agile video content, while fostering quality and speed. You'll inspire momentum within your team and create quick feedback loops to keep things moving forward.
- Collaborate strategically for business impact: Partner closely with product marketing, demand generation, and product teams to ensure creative initiatives directly contribute to revenue, product adoption, and customer value. You'll bridge gaps across teams to drive shared objectives and clarify the 'why' behind decisions.
- Champion brand consistency and innovation: Continuously evolve Propeller's creative presence across web, marketing materials, and events, keeping our brand fresh and engaging. You'll lead by example, demonstrating Propeller’s values in your behaviour and decision-making.
- Define and guide Propeller’s brand strategy: Own the overarching brand narrative and visual identity, ensuring all creative outputs align with Propeller's core values and strategic goals.
- Inspire and amplify user-generated content: Empower our customers to share their stories and work with cross-functional teams to amplify these narratives, showcasing real-world impact. You'll also support your team's growth by providing regular feedback and creating stretch goals.
Your Skills
- Proven Creative Leadership: 8+ years in a creative leadership role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, design, and impactful storytelling. You're expected to drive results and empower your team to perform at their best.
- System Builder Mindset: A track record of establishing and scaling creative processes from the ground up, not just inheriting existing structures. You thrive on creating clarity and addressing unhelpful ambiguity.
- Strategic & Data-Informed: Ability to translate business objectives into compelling creative solutions and use data to inform creative direction. You have a scaling mindset for both product and brand.
- Adaptable & Collaborative: Comfortable with short, iterative feedback loops and adept at collaborating across diverse teams. You can take feedback constructively.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. You work at pace and stay steady under pressure.
