Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Client Solutions, plays a key role within the Client Solutions team, leading client partnerships and engagements that help pharmaceutical companies realize value from Prospection’s analytics platform.

This role bridges real-world data, advanced analytics, and commercial strategy, translating patient-level insights into actionable decisions that drive success for our clients. You will also ensure successful project delivery in close collaboration with the Analytics team, bridging customer requirements and our solutions, while driving ongoing adoption and utilization of Prospection’s suite of SaaS products.

You will help shape how Japan’s leading life sciences companies leverage data-driven insights to improve healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Engagement Leadership

  • Lead strategic relationships with senior stakeholders in major pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
  • Partner closely with the Analytics team to ensure seamless translation of client needs into technical solutions and deliverables.
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery — ensuring quality, timeliness, and tangible business impact.
  • Promote adoption of Prospection’s software solutions by guiding clients on embedding insights into commercial decision-making.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable business narratives and strategic recommendations.

Consulting Delivery

  • Design and lead analytics-driven engagements leveraging Prospection’s full suite of offerings.
  • Ensure that all solutions align with therapeutic area needs, regulatory requirements (PMDA, MHLW), and clinical standards.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on patient behavior, treatment adherence, market access, and real-world outcomes.
  • Synthesize complex insights into compelling executive presentations and facilitate client workshops.

Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Identify and develop new opportunities within existing and prospective client portfolios.
  • Lead proposal development, project scoping, and commercial model design in collaboration with regional leadership.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, representing Prospection at industry forums, and strengthen brand visibility within Japan’s life sciences ecosystem.

Leadership & People Development

  • Manage and mentor a team of associate consultants and consultants, fostering collaboration between strategy, analytics, and technology.
  • Develop frameworks, methodologies, and playbooks to enhance delivery excellence and client engagement.
  • Promote a culture of evidence-based thinking, intellectual curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

Essential

  • 9+ years of experience in the life sciences industry and/or consulting.
  • Proven success in leading client-facing projects in RWD, commercial analytics, or healthcare strategy.
  • Deep understanding of Japan’s healthcare ecosystem, including PMDA, MHLW regulations, and Japanese RWD data landscape.
  • Strong analytical storytelling skills with the ability to connect data insights to commercial strategy.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) in life sciences, healthcare management, or analytics.
  • Experience working with Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, or Medical Affairs teams.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (fluent in both spoken and written)
