Role Description

The People Operations Executive plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth and compliant People processes from onboarding through to offboarding. This is a hands-on role combining People Operations administration with projects and process improvement, helping to deliver an excellent employee experience while keeping processes accurate, efficient, and consistent.

They are the go-to person for colleagues and managers for core People Operations queries, helping us maintain a great employee experience while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient processes.

The ideal candidate is people focused, detail-oriented, organised, and has strong interpersonal skills

People & HR Support

  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, CV screening, and interview coordination.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment, documentation, and new starter plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records including leave requests, holiday balances, absence tracking and HRIS updates.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive workplace environment.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure operational alignment and provide guidance to meet targets.
  • Drive and coordinate People & Culture projects across the organisations, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with group and business goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes, templates and documentation
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining clear internal people documentation and guides
  • Assist with preparing the monthly payroll, including bonuses and commissions.
Operational Planning & Compliance
  • Support and maintain operational strategies, policies, and procedures set by the Group People Operations Manager and wider group business as well as the individual businesses.
  • Ensure alignment of operational activities with organisational goals.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and insurance obligations.
  • Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure People Operations processes are handled in line with internal policy, GDPR requirements, and Australian employment practices
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy when handling employee information
Office & Facilities Management
  • Coordinate office operations, facilities, and coworking space management.
  • Organise internal and external events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and venue bookings.
  • Manage visitors, contractors, suppliers, and incoming mail.
  • Ensure office supplies, equipment, and meeting spaces are properly maintained and restocked.
  • Support Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Risk Assessment activities.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Previous experience in People Operations, HR administration, or a similar HR support role
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to managing information and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working with HR systems and tools (and confident with Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Experience working in an international organisation and supporting stakeholders across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with Australian HR processes, leave and absence administration, and contract management
  • Experience contributing to process improvement or People-related projects
