The Opportunity
Step into a high-impact role at the heart of one of the world’s most influential technology investment groups. As part of the Prosus Ventures team—an elite group backing the world’s most exciting emerging tech trailblazers - you’ll be a vital force supporting a portfolio of 100+ cutting-edge companies.
Working closely with the General Counsel, you’ll help keep the legal and operational engine of this global venture platform running with precision and pace. This is not a lawyer or trainee role, but a dynamic, business-critical legal support position where you’ll be immersed in the fast-moving world of global tech investments. The role is based in our Amsterdam office.
We'll Expect You To
- Become a strategic force behind Prosus Ventures’ global portfolio, supporting the legal team across 100+ high-growth companies and helping keep the engine of one of the world’s leading tech investors running smoothly.
- Own and elevate day-to-day portfolio interactions—from shareholder and board approvals to rapid-response information requests—ensuring our companies get the clarity and support they need to scale.
- Be the hub of internal intelligence, maintaining live, accurate portfolio data and partnering closely with investment, finance, and audit teams to create seamless, cross-functional flow of information.
- Champion precision in ownership structures, managing cap tables and shareholding data across the portfolio with rigor, speed, and a tech-forward mindset.
- Play a key role in new investments, supporting deal closings, coordinating document execution, and ensuring every detail is captured, archived, and future-ready.
- Navigate regulatory work with confidence, assisting with filings and gathering the right information to keep Prosus Ventures fully compliant and ahead of the curve.
- Own critical post-closing workflows, from managing share certificates to tracking and delivering all essential documentation.
- Be a versatile legal and operations powerhouse, supporting broader legal, compliance, and administrative needs—from NDAs to invoicing to KYC—so the team can operate at peak performance.
Who You Are & What You Bring
- Collaborative at your core, you instinctively share information, align timelines, and keep the right stakeholders moving in sync to drive results.
- Exceptionally organized, you bring structure, clarity, and calm to fast-moving workstreams, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- With 4–5 years of hands-on experience as a paralegal, corporate secretary, or in a similar role, you’ve supported legal and/or finance teams in high-performance environments like law firms, investment funds, or corporates.
- You’re fluent in cap tables and bring advanced Excel skills to the table, making you the go-to person for precision, structure, and financial accuracy.
- Backed by a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), you may have legal training—or even a chartered accountant background—giving you a unique edge in navigating complex documentation and compliance.
- A proactive self-starter, you thrive in team environments but are equally effective working independently, driving work forward with confidence and ownership.
- Practical, commercially minded, and a clear communicator, you break down complexity for non-lawyers with ease and your command of English is impeccable.
- You bring positivity, adaptability, and a sense of humor, helping teams stay grounded, resilient, and human even in high-pressure moments.
