Who We’re Looking For
We're seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security measures across our multi-cloud environments.
You'll own the security architecture, compliance frameworks, and incident response strategies that protect our cloud assets from evolving threats. You have deep expertise in cloud-native security tools, understand how to balance security with performance and cost at scale, and excel at building resilient systems that enable secure innovation. You're motivated by preventing breaches and ensuring compliance while supporting rapid business growth, and thrive in environments where security directly impacts trust and operational success.
What You'll Do
Design secure cloud architectures including IAM, network security, encryption, and data protection across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Implement zero-trust models, multi-factor authentication, and secure API gateways.
Implement data pipelines using IaaS best practices.
Own security for infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits on cloud resources.
Set up monitoring with SIEM, intrusion detection, and cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS GuardDuty, Azure Security Center).
Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs for security operations.
Secure containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
Optimize security for hybrid and multi-cloud setups with cost controls and resource isolation.
Own security automation, including firewalls, VPNs, WAFs, and endpoint protection.
Create templates and documentation to promote secure development practices.
Establish DevSecOps best practices and guide teams in their adoption.
Support security training and awareness programs when needed.
Focus on enabling development teams rather than blocking them.
Collaborative approach to work across 4 development teams.
Drive security automation to reduce operational burden.
As needed, develop and enforce security policies aligned with regulations like GDPR, PCI-DSS, and ISO 2700.
Manage compliance auditing, risk assessments, and reporting.
Implement controls for data sovereignty, privacy and access management
Collaborative mindset for working with multiple teams
Pragmatic approach that enables rather than blocks innovation
Communication skills for explaining security to non-security teams
Learning orientation for rapidly evolving cloud security landscape

Who you are
5+ years in cloud security engineering, with hands-on experience in at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Expertise in AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM, Config).
Expert-level knowledge of cloud security concepts like zero-trust, encryption, and threat modeling.
Strong skills in scripting (Python, Bash) and building secure APIs.
Proven experience with security optimization: vulnerability management, incident response, and cost efficiency.
Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Experience with identity management for Okta SSO implementation.
Solid understanding of monitoring and observability for secure cloud systems.
Naturally curious with a track record of proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Deep knowledge of cloud provider security services and their performance implications.
Expertise in advanced security techniques: encryption at rest/transit, secrets management, and anomaly detection.
Understanding of security best practices for ML/AI workloads: model access controls, data poisoning prevention.
Experience managing multi-tenant cloud environments with role-based access and isolation.
Proficiency with compliance tools and automation frameworks.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud infrastructure: multi-region orchestration, disaster recovery.
Contributions to open-source security tools or frameworks.
