The opportunity

We’re looking for a driven and strategic National Relationship Manager to lead the engagement and performance of one of our key Distribution networks —Ausbrokers. In this national role, you’ll build high-value relationships, shape service initiatives, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive profitable growth and deliver value.

You’ll be at the forefront of our broker distribution strategy, managing major relationships and ensuring alignment between our business objectives and partner needs. This is your chance to make a real impact in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Your new role

As the National Relationship Lead, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Serve as the lead contact for the Ausbrokers distribution channel, building deep understanding and strong relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders across the network.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver the strategic distribution plan, incorporating financial targets, growth initiatives, engagement activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and coordinate an executive meeting cadence to monitor results, key activities and identify and address pain points within the relationship.
  • Report on performance inclusive of the use of internal and external data and performance trends and amend strategic plans based on value and data.
  • Managing our Strategic Partnership Agreement and individual distribution broker agreements to ensure compliance and fee management requirements are met.
  • Own and manage escalations inclusive of claims, compliance, underwriting matters.
  • Work collaboratively across Distribution, Underwriting, Claims, Legal, and Compliance to align on priorities and support the distribution plan.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a relationship or national account management role, working with broker networks or similar distribution channels
  • A strong background in the insurance industry, ideally within an agency or broker-focused business
  • A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels — from junior brokers to C-suite executives
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to analyse data and translate insights into action
  • A strategic mindset with excellent planning, budget management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and a solid understanding of the compliance landscape
