LMI Senior Service Officer

The opportunity

As a Senior LMI Service Officer, you’ll work collaboratively within a dynamic team, you’ll proactively identify and pursue claim recovery opportunities, provide guidance on arrears processing and hardship reporting, manage complex complaints and represent our business in regulatory reviews. You’ll also partner closely with the Senior Manager Claims to oversee external mercantile agents and share your expertise to coach and support colleagues.

Your new role

  • Overseeing arrears processing, recoveries functions and reporting to ensure completeness and integrity
  • Handling complaints and resolving disputes, ensuring a strong client/customer focus throughout
  • Managing robust relationships with key B2B stakeholders including financial institutions and mercantile agents
  • Ensuring full compliance with all industry and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the negotiation of prompt and commercially sound settlements with liable parties and their representatives to ensure efficient, ethical and effective settlement
  • Identifying process and policy enhancements to drive efficiency, underpinned with a commitment of an improved and positive customer experience.
  • Overseeing administration of accounts payable and receivable and providing support to the Claims Team
  • Coaching and mentoring to support growth and development opportunities

About you

  • Strong understanding of the mortgage industry, ideally including LMI
  • Understanding of the mortgage collections process including Arrears, Hardship and Recoveries
  • Knowledge of the relevant industry regulations including Debt Collecting guidelines
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Robust problem solving, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role within the financial industry or LMI will be highly regarded
