We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our team in Madrid. If you're ready to take the next step in your career and support underwriting excellence, we’d love to hear from you.


The Opportunity:
As an Underwriting Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Casualty and Financial Lines underwriting team by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all stages of the underwriting process. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and help drive business performance.

Your new role:

  • Understand and align with the annual business plan of your business unit.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow underwriting standards and best practices to minimize risk and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and underwriting data in internal systems.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, brokers, and customers.
  • Prepare documentation and reports to support underwriting decisions and business planning.
  • Assist in producing management information and performance metrics.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth operations.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in an underwriting support or administrative role.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
  • A strong communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Commercially aware and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of underwriting principles and insurance products (Casualty and/or Financial Lines)
  • Familiarity with process standards and insurance environments.
