The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact role within our Group Finance Risk & Assurance team. You'll be at the forefront of shaping how we deliver risk insights and controls assurance across the business. Working closely with analysts and stakeholders, you’ll help drive smarter decision-making and support our enterprise-wide risk transformation journey. Your new role
Gather and monitor risk data from Divisional Risk Teams in alignment with risk standards and appetite.
Act as a trusted advisor, engaging with senior stakeholders on the development and enhancement of processes across all financial and operational areas.
Own the risk management process, including conducting risk assessments to identify, evaluate, manage, and monitor key risks in collaboration with the leadership team.
Oversee and guide business functions in conducting root cause analyses of issues and incidents and support the identification and implementation of control improvements.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to identify key risks and controls.
Develop and execute test scripts to assess control design and operational effectiveness.
Facilitate Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops to evaluate residual risk based on inherent risk ratings and control assessments.
Monitor and resolve data quality issues to ensure accurate and reliable risk reporting.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and efficiency by leveraging emerging technologies.
Contribute to operational risk reporting and support related initiatives.
Provide quarterly updates to the Finance Leadership Team on the operational risk outlook and control environment within Group Finance.
About you
Proven experience in internal or external audit.
Strong background in controls assurance.
Experience mentoring or supporting others is a plus, though not essential.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
CA or CPA qualification preferred.
