The opportunity
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will support internal audits from planning through to reporting, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met. You will perform risk assessments and controls testing, contribute to audit programs, and partner closely with stakeholders to deliver high quality, value adding audit outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to join a large, high‑calibre internal audit team, working alongside experienced professionals. The position plays a key role in supporting the Home market portfolio, covering both Group and Auspac, and provides broad exposure to complex and impactful audit activity.
This role is ideal for an experienced auditor who enjoys working autonomously, influencing stakeholders, and contributing to a strong risk and control environment.

Your new role
Supporting and executing audit engagements end‑to‑end, including planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery of key milestones
Ensure audits are completed in line with the Group Audit Manual, quality standards and agreed timeframes
Perform risk assessments, controls testing and documentation using approved audit tools and methodologies
Clearly communicate audit findings, partnering with management on remediation actions and tracking issue closure
Draft high‑quality audit issues and observations in line with Group Internal Audit reporting standards
Support team effectiveness through coaching, continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of best practices
Deliver complex audits requiring strong judgement and technical expertise
Contribute to the delivery of the Group Internal Audit strategy
About you
Proven internal audit experience within financial services, insurance, or other regulated environments
Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience supporting internal audits across financial and operational controls
Sound understanding of risk management, controls, business processes, and project management practices
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
Professional qualifications (CA, CPA and/or IIA) are desirable
