Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: EmployeeThe purpose of this role is to lead strategic planning and business architecture at QBE, bridging the gap between strategy and execution. The role involves guiding strategy development, aligning goals with decision-making, and building effective strategy and business design teams. By connecting customer insights with industry trends and driving process optimization, this role plays a crucial part in shaping QBE's direction and enhancing customer experience.Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the Divisional strategy with the Executive Management Board (EMB) and Board.
- Develop a QBE business architecture and roadmap aligned with organisational strategy.
- Ensure partners, customers, and people are central to business design.
- Manage strategy development and approval processes at divisional and group levels.
- Champion customer-centred decision-making and connect customer insight with executive decisions.
- Identify and prioritise high-impact initiatives for the multi-year roadmap.
- Provide insightful thought leadership to solve complex problems.
- Provide ongoing leadership and support to ensure achievement of performance targets.
- Manage the performance of direct reports and coaches for effective team management.
- Create a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer-centricity.
Work Experience:
Preferred Work Experience includes:
- Significant experience in strategy consulting or a strategy role.
- Experience in a strategy consulting firm or leading strategy in a large/complex corporate environment.
- Transformation/operational experience is desirable.
- Experience leading a team.
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline.
