The Opportunity
QBE is seeking an experienced Application Delivery Specialist to join our Data & Analytics team based in London. This role reports to the Application Delivery Lead and is responsible for the stability, resilience, and continuous improvement of business‑critical data platforms, while leading a team delivering BAU support and small, high‑value changes.
This role is ideal for a proactive candidate who thrives in regulated environments, can balance operational excellence with change delivery, and is confident engaging senior stakeholders across Technology and business.

Your new role
Provide senior‑level application support for business‑critical Data & Analytics platforms, contributing to service stability, resilience, and continuous improvement
Act as a key contributor to Incident, Problem and Change Management, including support for major incidents and senior‑stakeholder communications
Contribute to the prioritisation and delivery of small enhancements and fixes within a fixed BAU capacity model, balancing operational risk and business value
Work closely with business stakeholders (including Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations and Finance) to understand user needs, agree priorities, and manage expectations
Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of delivery partner teams across offshore locations, supporting service quality and timely delivery
Coach and mentor team members, support knowledge transfer, and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Support effective monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness across supported platforms
About you
Proven experience leading production support teams in complex enterprise environments within financial services (insurance or banking)
Experience operating in regulated environments, with strong understanding of enterprise risk management, governance, and controls, including audit support
Experience supporting large‑scale MI, ETL, data warehousing and analytics platforms, including batch‑driven environments
Strong working knowledge of ITIL‑based service management, with hands‑on experience across Incident, Problem and Change, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and/or Remedy (mandatory)
Proven ability to manage business‑critical systems in time‑pressured, highly visible environments
Strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills, including negotiation where delivery capacity is constrained
Experience leading delivery squads operating within an Agile delivery model with hands‑on experience facilitating and participating in core Agile ceremonies
Experience working with third‑party vendors and offshore delivery models
Track record of delivering process improvements that strengthen stability, control, and risk posture
Awareness of MS SQL, monitoring and observability tools, and capacity planning considerations in large‑scale IT environments
ITIL Foundation certification (mandatory); Agile / Scrum Master certification (desirable)
