We have an exciting opportunity for a Reinsurance Team Leader to join our Reinsurance Operations Team on a full-time permanent basis. With global exposure across complex reinsurance programs, broad risks and multi-line products this role will partner across the business gaining a variety of exposure.

Your new role:
Reporting directly to the Intercompany and Facultative Reinsurance Manager, you will be responsible for the Reinsurance Intercompany process with QBE’s Captive and the RI Operations Reinsurance Team, ensuring that QBE European Operations meets its obligations in respect of this important area. You will be part of a team in the UK, with an offshore function based in the Philippines.
Your main responsibilities:
Intercompany Credit Control responsibilities, working closely with our QBE Captive.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, specifically QBE Captive, Reinsurance Operations Team, Outwards Credit Control, Group Treasury and Finance Teams, ensuring that high standards of service are maintained and improved upon.
Respond to queries promptly relating to premium and claim settlements.
Working closely with the different teams within Finance, to ensure prompt premium and claim settlements.
Set target KPI’s to control aged debt and cash allocation for Intercompany settlements and develop plans to achieve.
Perform peer review for tasks completed by the Offshore Reinsurance Team.
Determines own work priorities and activities in line with agreed plans to ensure the achievement of personal and team objectives.
Running reports to extract and analyse data in Excel and Power BI.
About You:
Knowledge or Reinsurance business (essential)
Credit Control experience
Intercompany experience
A high level of numeracy and literacy.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritise work.
Experience using Duck Creek Reinsurance (advantageous)
Knowledge of Power BI (advantageous)
Having the right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role. QBE may consider sponsorship at its discretion.
