The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Change Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll lead end-to-end change across key initiatives in the QBE Pacific strategy and roadmap, partnering with Delivery Leads, Business Owners, Product Owners and teams across Technology, Risk, People, Marketing and Communications to embed new ways of working. Initiatives include innovation, AI and emerging technologies, with a focus on sustained adoption and measurable outcomes across the Pacific.

Your new role
Reporting to the GM Operations & Risk and working closely with the Strategic Change and Performance Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end change across priority initiatives by building engagement, readiness and adoption. You’ll work with leaders and cross-functional teams to assess impacts, manage risks, shape communications and learning, and support a smooth transition into business-as-usual. You’ll also role model calm, inclusive and constructive leadership in complex, fast-paced environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translate program objectives into practical, people-centred change plans aligned to timelines, dependencies and the enterprise change strategy.
- Act as a trusted adviser to sponsors, business owners, product owners and delivery teams on change impacts, risks, readiness and mitigation.
- Influence and coach leaders to role model change and reinforce new behaviours, including adoption of AI, emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
- Shape and deliver clear change narratives, communications, engagement activities and feedback loops tailored to different audiences.
- Lead impact and readiness assessments, support go-live and stabilisation, and enable handover and embedment into BAU.

About you
You’re an experienced change professional who can lead end-to-end, enterprise-wide transformation in complex, matrixed environments. You bring a practical, people-centred approach, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and pace to help teams adopt new ways of working, including AI-enabled solutions.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience supporting adoption of AI-enabled solutions and/or emerging technologies and applying learnings to improve outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder and executive engagement skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sound knowledge of change management methodologies and tools (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR), with practical, outcome-focused application.
- Strong facilitation and analytical capability, including running workshops, assessing impacts and risks, and implementing readiness and mitigation actions.
- Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is an advantage (relevant experience from other industries will also be considered).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, APMG) is highly regarded.
