Time Type: Full timeWorker Type: Contingent WorkerThe purpose of this role is to support financial lines underwriters in preparing quotes, reviewing plan changes and amendments, support underwriters in assessing and managing insurance risks, and liaising with intermediaries. The role involves working closely with supervision to develop knowledge and skills in financial lines underwriting principles and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist underwriters in preparing quotes and documentation for various Financial Lines products.
  • Provide basic interpretation and advice on underwriting policies and procedures to team members.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in relevant systems and databases.
  • Maintain records of team referrals, backlogs, and productivity metrics, contributing to reporting efforts.
  • Review the recommendations made based on QBE's appetite, pricing, coverage, and conditions of new business.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with assigned select brokers.
  • Evaluate risk on current customers and prospects.
  • Provide a timely and professional level of service to internal and external customers.
  • Assist with the review and analysis of the portfolio to evaluate progress toward business objectives and identify opportunities.
  • Consistently adhere to underwriting compliance with business and regulatory requirements.

Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Some relevant working experience in administrative support or customer service function, preferably in General Insurance companies.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
