The opportunity
We’re growing our Cyber capability and are looking for two Underwriters to join our newly formed Cyber team. Reporting to the Cyber Product Lead, these new roles offer a rare opportunity to get in at the ground level of a fast‑growing global Cyber business, with strong scope for learning, development and long‑term career progression.

Your new role
A day in the life of a Cyber Underwriter may look a bit like this:
- Develop an understanding of cyber market dynamics to enhance business performance
- Develop and improve a strong knowledge of current legislation, best practice, underwriting, systems, products and organisational guidelines
- Actively manage renewal portfolio and new business targets
- Underwrite insurance risks to meet business objectives, including negotiating terms and compliance
- Build relationships with our brokers and actively manage your portfolio and relationships with brokers and colleagues to achieve portfolio retention, growth and profitability targets
- Regular attendance at external market events and through leadership seminars
- Monitor, review and comply with all underwriting standards, procedures and processes
About you
To be successful as a Cyber Underwriter you will ideally have an established track record in Cyber Insurance or Financial Lines, or have a keen interest in the Cyber market.
Key attributes will include:
- A working knowledge of Underwriting and Insurance will be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Desire to grow/develop a career with a global insurer
- Great team player, with the ability to also work autonomously and independently
- Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills
