The Associate Director plays a key role in translating business and product strategy into clear, compliant, and impactful go to market activities for agency and broker partners.

Your New Role

You will report to Team Lead, Distribution, Strategic Partnership and work closely with: Distribution Channels, Business Development, Finance, Underwriting, Operations.

Distribution Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and manage distribution marketing initiatives, including business growth challenges, renewal campaigns, brand campaigns, and incentive programmes across agency and broker channels, including channels with life insurance agents

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of market dynamics and business cycles to support performance and enhance campaign effectiveness

  • Prepare campaign mechanics, calculations, ROI analysis, and post‑campaign summaries for management review

Communication & Go‑to‑Market Execution

  • Support effective communication of product‑ and campaign‑related messages across internal stakeholders and distribution partners

  • Draft and manage partner‑facing communications, including EDMs, newsletters, FAQs, and campaign announcements in both English and Chinese

  • Own and manage the editorial calendar for distribution communications, including monthly/quarterly partner newsletters and the QBE Distribution Channel Facebook Page

Event & Engagement Support

  • Support distribution engagement activities and events such as Spring Dinners, incentive trips, sports days, and networking events

  • Coordinate pre‑event communications, post‑event recaps, and content distribution, including highlight videos and photo sharing

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to obtain approvals for budgets, incentives, and communications

  • Ensure all initiatives comply with internal governance, audit, and compliance standards

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for campaigns and partner communications

About You

  • Degree holder in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related disciplines

  • Solid experience in distribution marketing, events, or portfolio management, preferably within the insurance industry

  • Hands‑on experience in managing incentive schemes and marketing campaigns

  • Exposure to product governance, underwriting concepts, or regulatory frameworks is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management and coordination skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Traditional Chinese

  • Commercially minded with strong analytical ability and high attention to detail

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management and cross‑functional teams
