Your new role
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead “Secure by Design” assessments to ensure security risks align with business risk appetite
- Provide expert cyber security advice and partner with stakeholders on projects and activities to identify and resolve root cause risks
- Drive cyber engagement across technology teams and the business, encouraging proactive identification and reporting of risks
- Support reviews of cyber security frameworks, policies, and standards to strengthen the overall security posture
- Collaborate across technology teams, the business and suppliers to embed security into projects, systems, and operations
- Taking ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements and taking full accountability for actions and decisions made
- Building strong relationships with divisional business and project stakeholders, proactively identifying issues, and improving security consultancy services for divisional and global projects.
- Working closely with the broader cyber security team and other teams to identify opportunities for strategic security solutions
- Coach and support team members, fostering capability uplift and driving a culture of continuous improvement
About you
You are a highly curious and solutions‑focused cyber security professional who thrives in a complex, fast‑moving environment. With strong technical expertise and a collaborative approach, you are confident influencing stakeholders and translating cyber risk into practical business outcomes.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience in cyber security consulting, preferably from a financial services background.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, ISO)
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex environments
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to think like an adversary and anticipate threats
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business insights
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is desirable but not essential for this role
