The opportunity
We’re seeking a Head of Property & Energy to own and lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance performance, strengthen broker relationships, and drive sustainable growth across the portfolio. This is a senior leadership role with high visibility, partnering closely with underwriting, distribution, and executive stakeholders to translate strategy into tangible outcomes.
You’ll bring strong technical property expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead through complexity, while inspiring a high-performing and collaborative team.

Your new role
You will lead strategic initiatives across the Property & Energy portfolio, translating business strategy into actionable plans, driving performance uplift, and ensuring strong governance, delivery discipline, and stakeholder alignment.
- Lead by example, promoting a high performance culture, and coach for success
- Own, monitor and adjust key business settings to deliver agree financial performance
- Develop and deliver strategic initiatives to optimise segment performance and partner outcomes
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align plans with broader ANZO strategy
- Provide data-driven insights and market analysis to inform strategy and decision-making
- Own KPI development, tracking, and performance management of key initiatives
- Oversee program delivery (scope, budget, timelines, risks, dependencies) and take corrective action where needed
- Drive improvements to underwriting processes, automation, and operational efficiency
- Maintain strong relationships with broker networks and key partners, actively supporting deal execution
- Monitor market position and competitive dynamics to inform strategic direction
- Lead governance, reporting, and remediation activity across the portfolio
About you
- Extensive property underwriting expertise with the ability to “talk the deal”
- Proven experience in strategic delivery, performance uplift, or transformation initiatives
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Advanced analytical capability (qualitative and quantitative) with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Resilient, adaptable leader who thrives in complex and challenging environments
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to inspire, coach, and lead high-performing teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insights and strategy
