Job Description

At QIC, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and rewarded for the impact they make. As one of Australia’s leading investment managers with more than $100 billion in assets under management, our people are at the heart of our success.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Performance & Reward to join our People & Culture (P&C) leadership team. This is a pivotal role reporting Chief People & Culture Officer, with accountability for shaping and leading QIC’s global Performance & Reward strategy across Australia, the UK, the US, and Asia.

About the Role

As Head of Performance & Reward, you’ll:

  • Lead the development and execution of QIC’s Remuneration & Reward framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy and market best practice.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and governance of global benefits, short- and long-term incentive schemes.
  • Partner with the Board, People & Culture and Executive Committees and senior stakeholders to provide expert advice and insights on remuneration trends, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead QIC’s performance cycle, ensuring delivery of robust processes, reporting, and analytics that support performance and reward outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and benchmarking providers to ensure market-aligned and data-driven remuneration practices.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Performance & Reward team, fostering collaboration across generalist and specialist P&C teams, Finance, Risk, and Operations.

About You

You are a senior Performance & Reward leader with deep expertise in financial services and a proven track record of driving complex reward strategies in global markets. You bring:

  • 15+ years’ experience leading Performance & Reward functions, ideally in investment management, banking, or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience at Board and Committee level, including executive reporting and presenting.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing incentive programs, and global benefits across the UK, US, and Asia.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and compliance knowledge with the ability to provide strategic, data-driven insights.
  • Leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a global Performance & Reward function within a respected investment organisation. At QIC, you will work alongside a collaborative and high-calibre leadership team, influence business-critical outcomes, and shape strategies that attract, retain, and reward top talent worldwide.
