About the role

15-month contract | Brisbane

We’re looking for an outstanding event specialist who can think on their feet, confidently manage a full annual calendar of high-profile events, and engage seamlessly with senior leaders and external stakeholders. Joining QIC’s Communications & Marketing team, you’ll play a key role in delivering events, sponsorships, and engagement initiatives that support QIC’s strategic priorities and strengthen our reputation in the market. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing complex events to life, balancing multiple priorities, and partnering with executives and investment leaders to deliver polished, high-impact experiences.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• End-to-end planning and delivery of a wide range of events, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Delivering QIC’s annual investor conference and other senior level client and prospect engagements.
• Managing QIC’s presence at major industry events, including sponsorship activation, speaker coordination, and brand representation.
• Overseeing all event logistics: venues, catering, invitations, RSVPs, and on the day execution.
• Coordinating internal stakeholders, schedules, and senior attendees across a busy events calendar.
• Managing sponsorship approvals, CEO memos, legal clearances, and invoicing.
• Conducting post-event reviews to continuously improve impact and delivery.

About you

You’re an experienced, highly organised events professional who stays calm under pressure and enjoys working at pace. You’re comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and know how to deliver flawless events in complex, corporate environments.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in events, industry engagement, marketing, or corporate communications (B2B or industry focused preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior executives.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and follow through.
• Clear, confident communication skills and a proactive, solutions focused mindset.
