Working Student (m/f/d) or fixed-term job at Quantum Brilliance, a Revolutionary Quantum Computing Startup- Synthetic diamond growth (CVD) and metrologies (Freiburg based)
Quantum Brilliance
Want to shape the future of quantum technologies?
Join Quantum Brilliance, a German-Australian startup that's revolutionizing the world with mobile quantum computers! Our mission? To create a mini quantum computer that will completely change how we perceive and utilize quantum computing.
What we do?
In Freiburg, we're working on the heart of our quantum computer, a diamond-based quantum chip. With atomic precision, we create defects in the diamond to make the next-generation computers real. That's where you come in: we need creative minds like yours to support engineering diamond epitaxial growth processes by microwave-assisted chemical vapor deposition (CVD).
Your Tasks
- Assist and operate diamond CVD epitaxy recipes and process engineering tasks following the direction of a senior process engineer
- Upload experiment details in our digital Lab platform
- Perform basic materials characterizations (microscopy, topography)
- Process internal service requests to Fraunhofer IAF collaborators
- We’ll tailor your tasks to match your skills and interests
About you
- You're enrolled as student (university/college) in physics, materials, process engineering or you hold a Master degree and looking for internship
- You have previous experience in running experiments in a lab environment, ideally working with UHV setups.
- You are curious to learn and can follow procedures with precision
- You speak English and German.
What we offer
- Exciting work at the intersection of research and application, with diverse tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Flexible working hours that fit your study schedule. Work is mainly on-site.
- Space for your ideas – be creative and make a real difference with us!
The position is initially limited to 6 months with possible extension.
Student conditions: €14/hour minimum for 80 hours per month (maximum).
Master conditions: Fixed-term, full-time job contract
