Now, as we scale our global presence, we’re building on our operations in Tokyo and are looking for a New Graduate to take on a Business Analyst role to support our Japan Country Director to drive commercial outcomes. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing deep tech company at the point where science drives impact on the global stage.
About the Role
As the Business Analyst, you will support the Japan Country Director to coordinate our engagements in Japan, from value chain partnerships to customers engagements. You will be helping in the day-to-day project management of these engagements as well as building alignment and momentum toward our long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities could include any of these areas:
Business Analysis
- Deeply analyse existing and relevant value chain players in Japan to draft a coherent plan towards developing key strategic partnerships in Japan.
- Support the coordination with our Australian and German offices to deepen these partnerships through collaborative research efforts.
- Prepare materials in both English and Japanese to effectively communicate ideas and solutions to partners and customers.
- Assist with preparation of strategically aligned capital raise materials.
Project Management
- Support the development of project plans using our internal tools, such as JIRA, Confluence and Hubspot for partner and customer engagements.
- Clearly document meeting notes and effectively coordinate actions internally with our business units.
- Help prepare agendas, pre-reading materials, and follow-up summaries for strategy and alignment meetings.
About You
You are self-driven, well organised, analytical and a clear communicator and curious about deep tech. You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy translating complex ideas into commercial outcomes.
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Native level Japanese with Business Level English skills (written and spoken).
- Recently completed a degree in either business or hard sciences.
- High respect for confidentiality and integrity.
- Hands-on attitude and ability to develop and execute a plan.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with people across technical and non-technical teams and in different geographic locations.
