Scope:

A RecordPoint Technical Consultant works as a contributing member of a project delivery team, providing specialist migration services to customers and partners to enable the deployment of RecordPoint. Working under the direction of a Project Manager, you will be responsible for executing migration analysis, mapping, and processing tasks as part of broader customer engagements, with a particular focus on migrating content from ECM systems, file shares, and legacy repositories into Microsoft SharePoint.

This role will embody one of RecordPoint’s core values in the pursuit of customer success and forging lasting partnerships with our customers. This role will report to our Program Director.

This role is open to candidates based in Australia only. Australia Citizenship is required.

Initial contract term is 3 months with possibility to extend.

You'll be responsible for:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Execute discovery and analysis of source systems (e.g., OpenText, Documentum, HP TRIM/Content Manager, Meridio, file shares, network drives, and similar ECM/EDRMS platforms) to understand structure, metadata schemas, and content volumes;

    • Produce migration mapping specifications, translating source metadata, folder structures, and classifications into target SharePoint models;

    • Develop and configure migration scripts and tooling to process, transform and load content at scale, including use of migration platforms such as ShareGate, Metalogix, AvePoint, or similar;

      • Conduct data profiling and quality analysis on source content to identify issues (duplicates, orphaned records, corrupt files, access anomalies) and escalate or apply remediation strategies as directed;

        • Validate migrated content against defined acceptance criteria, including metadata fidelity, document integrity, permissions accuracy and records classification;

          • Support the configuration and deployment of RecordPoint as part of broader migration and information management engagements;

            • Work collaboratively with customers and project team members to gather technical requirements and clarify migration scope;

              • Proactively communicate task progress, blockers and risks to the Project Manager in a timely manner;

                • Provide regular task status updates and contribute to project reporting as required;

                  • Create and maintain documentation to support migration design, mapping decisions, testing and implementation;

                    • Support and train customers and partner implementation consultants on the capabilities and implementation of RecordPoint; and

                    • Provide feedback to the product team concerning product enhancements or issues discovered in the field.

You'll do:

    Client Engagement

    • Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client goals and translating them into actionable solutions

    • Conduct discovery sessions to gather and document business and technical requirements

    • Define success criteria and ensure alignment to client ROI and outcomes

    • Solution Design / Architecture

      • Design and implement scalable RecordPoint solutions aligned to client needs

      • Develop and maintain best-practice solution frameworks

      • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on enhancements and customizations

      • Implementation, Migration & Integration

        • Deliver end-to-end implementations, from configuration through deployment

        • Resolve issues quickly and effectively during implementation phases

        • Partner with cross-functional teams and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery

        • Translate business requirements into practical, outcome-driven solutions

        • Training & Documentation

          • Train customers and internal teams on RecordPoint products and best practices

          • Create and maintain user guides and technical documentation

          • Communication & Project Management

            • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

            • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones

            • Support pre-sales activities including scoping, SoWs, tenders, and RFx responses

You'll bring:

    • 3–5 years of experience in a technical consulting or implementation role, with a focus on data migration from ECM, EDRMS or file share environments into Microsoft SharePoint;

      • Hands-on experience migrating from platforms such as OpenText Content Manager (HP TRIM), Documentum, Meridio, EMC, IBM FileNet, or equivalent;

      • Experience working within a structured project delivery environment, taking direction from a Project Manager and contributing to defined project milestones; and

      • Demonstrated experience executing migration analysis, metadata mapping and content processing tasks at enterprise scale.

      • Experience producing metadata mapping documentation that translates legacy schemas to modern SharePoint taxonomies;

      • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) to support migration processing, data transformation and validation tasks;

      • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory;

      • Understanding of records management and information governance principles as they apply to migration scoping and classification decisions;

      • Experience supporting migrations from on-premise services to modern cloud solutions;

      • Understanding of security principles and controls in cloud environments, including permissions inheritance and access governance;

      • Experience with C# and .NET development (advantageous for custom migration tooling or connector development);

      • Clear and proactive communicator, able to flag issues and provide updates to project managers and team members effectively;

      • Ability to present technical information in a way that is understandable to stakeholders with varying levels of technical capability; and

      • Ability to perform source system analysis and content auditing, including volume assessment, metadata extraction, deduplication and classification mapping;
      • Security Clearance

        Candidates who hold or are eligible for Australian Government security clearances are strongly preferred.
