About the Role: Salus Ventures, Australia’s leading national resilience focused venture capital fund is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly capable and driven individual to join our Operations Team in Sydney. In this dynamic full-time role, you will work closely with the Fund’s Founding Partners to support day-to-day operations and drive high value initiatives across the team. You’ll be at the heart of the Fund’s activity, helping to optimise and coordinate internal operations, manage strategic events, and promote Salus to a broad range of stakeholders across government, industry, and the investment community. A strong candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, self aware, kind and enthusiastic about the deep tech and national resilience sectors. Prior experience or interest in Australia’s startup or VC ecosystem is highly desirable. A key aspect of this role is community building and event design / delivery, including organising and attending Salus’ annual investor delegation to the United States.About Salus: Salus Ventures is Australia’s only institutional scale, national resilience focused venture capital fund, positioned to invest up to $250 million over the next 5 years. This role offers the opportunity to join a hardworking, tight-knit team, passionate about building Australia's national resilience through outstanding deep tech innovation, balancing a fast-paced environment with a collaborative, caring culture.Core Duties:- GP support: Provide assistance to the General Partners via coordination and communications; attend meetings and ensure effective follow-through on action items.- Team support: Provide general support to the broader investment team.- Social media and marketing: Lead external communications and help shape the Fund’s external voice and digital presence including LinkedIn posting.- Event planning and coordination: Organise key events for stakeholders including investors, portfolio companies and the wider innovation community.- Annual investor delegation: Design, plan and execute the annual investor delegation to the United States, liaising with senior industry, government and academic stakeholders.- Research: Provide policy and investment research support on ad-hoc topics.- Reporting: Contribute to internal reporting, investor communications and use of portfolio management tools such as Notion and Affinity.- Special projects: Support accelerator programs, portfolio company marketing campaigns, recruitment, and grant-based projects.- Team building: Champion activities that promote a positive and collaborative culture.- Operational processes: Assess and improve operational processes as part of continual improvement.Key Attributes:- 2-5 years’ relevant experience in operations, executive support, strategic communications or events; experience in VC, startups, tech or government an advantage.- Interest in self-development and learning.- Highly organised and comfortable managing a wide range of tasks.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Experience with event organisation helpful.- Proactive self-starter; solves problems with speed and agility.- Capability across the Google Suite.- Curious by nature.How to Apply: Click here to proceed with your application (https://form.typeform.com/to/ujJB1HLp).
