The role & the team
Shippit is on the lookout for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Enterprise Sales team. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential enterprise customers (such as Harvey Norman, Cotton On and Myer).
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers. If you are motivated and results-driven we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to Shippit’s long-term business growth.
Day to day
* Understand the Shippit platform on a technical level.
* Contact potential clients through a high volume of cold calls, emails and LinkedIn.
* Attend retail industry events with the focus of driving leads.
* Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
* Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/ services.
* Build long-term trusting relationships with clients.
* Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
* Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the Business Development Executive/ Manager.
* Great time management skillsStay up-to-date with new products/ services and new pricing/ payment plans.
Our ideal Shippster
We are always looking for the best, so... we would love for you to have prior experience in sales and lead generation (hopefully) within IT and/ or SaaS. You’ll have a positive mindset with a go-getter attitude. Ideally you are a natural storyteller, someone who will be confident in demonstrating Shippit’s value story and differentiation within the industry. Time management and prioritisation skills will also be key.
