This is a technical role at the intersection of identity engineering and managed services operations, focused on delivering and running enterprise-grade Okta platforms.

Working closely with Versent engineers and customer architects, you’ll design, build, and operate complex Okta environments end-to-end covering detailed solution design, BAU support, platform releases, and feature flag management. As the primary escalation point, you’ll take accountability for the stability, quality, and continuity of the customer’s identity platform.

You’ll operate in an Agile delivery model, taking ownership from inception through to completion, and bringing a collaborative, customer-first approach that strengthens both the delivery team and the ongoing customer relationship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the day-to-day technical health of a customer's Okta tenant — BAU administration, change governance, release management, monitoring, and incident ownership, and participation in a rostered on-call rotation

  • Lead design and implementation of Okta SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Okta Identity Governance (OIG) workstreams

  • Deliver infrastructure-as-code using the Okta Terraform provider and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for config management

  • Act as the trusted technical voice for the customer — advising on Okta roadmap relevance, IGA maturity, and identity-first security design

  • Maintain operational runbooks, contribute to service reviews, and ensure the environment is always in a supportable state

  • Lead and mentor engineers and associate engineers on the engagement

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must have

  • Advanced Okta platform knowledge — SSO, MFA, Adaptive MFA, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory

  • Okta Identity Governance (OIG) — access certifications, entitlement management, ITP

  • Okta Terraform provider — advanced config management and drift control

  • SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM 2.0 — design and troubleshooting

  • Okta System Log, SIEM integration (Splunk, Datadog, or Sentinel)

  • Experience delivering in an Agile managed services environment

Nice to have

  • Auth0 by Okta — B2C/B2B tenant configuration and custom flows

  • AWS (ECS, EC2, IAM, Lambda, VPC) for identity workload deployment

  • Awareness of SailPoint, Saviynt, or CyberArk integration patterns

  • Python or PowerShell scripting for automation and API integrations

  • Ping Identity (PingFederate, PingAccess) — migration/coexistence scenarios
