SunDrive has quickly grown from a UNSW PhD project in a garage to producing the world’s most efficient commercial-sized solar cells.As our new Technical Program Manager you will oversee and manage the schedule of our own internally built solar manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development of mechanical, mechatronic, and software components associated with such equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Mechanical, Mechatronics and Software Engineering alongside the Mechanical Technician team to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.You will focus on:
- Define and manage project scope, budget, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocation, and track progress against milestones
- Lead and facilitate project team meetings, including regular status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Work with engineering teams to ensure technical specifications, designs, and requirements are met
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership, stakeholders, and team members
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of components and services
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Software Engineering, or related experience
- Strong experience in program/project management, preferably in either heavy industry, Equipment Development, Machinery Development or Manufacturing
- Experience with JIRA software and Agile
- Strong understanding and experience delivering projects with both hardware/software components. (E.g. mechanical, mechatronics, and software)
- Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards
