We are looking for a capable and hard-working Machine Operator to work in a food manufacturing environment. You will have excellent machine operation skills with good attention to detail. The Machine Operator's work includes set-up, operation, shutdown, cleaning and maintenance of machinery. They are responsible for ensuring machinery produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
You will get your full 40 hrs over 4 days Tuesday to Friday so you get a 3 day weekend every week!
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operator monitors equipment and product quality during operations on the manufacturing floor. Attention to detail while monitoring gauges and lines is required. The ability to troubleshoot and maintain production line machinery is important. Operators are responsible for accurately and completely documenting production activities in a timely manner, and ensuring product quality off the line is at its best. Responsibilities include:
- Set up machines to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings to ensure optimum performance with high quality product output
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
- Maintain activity logs

Requirements
What we need?
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience performing maintenance of machinery
- Understanding of production procedures and food hygiene standards
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength
To be eligible for this role you must provide 2 work references and be able to pass a pre-employment screen.
