Job Description
<Position Overview>
Senior UX Designer will work on human-centered consumer cybersecurity experiences.
Our mission is to integrate cybersecurity and everyday life, so that digital protection feels reassuring, understandable, and naturally integrated into people’s daily routines.
Our products serve a wide range of users from tech-savvy young adults to elderly users who are not confident with digital technology.
In this role, you will act as a UX representative for the Japanese market within a global product organization, helping ensure that product experiences reflect Japanese users’ expectations around trust, reassurance, clarity, and quality.
You will work closely with Product Managers, Marketing teams, and Engineers during the early stages of product development to visualize concepts, validate user experience directions, and assess whether ideas resonate with real users before full-scale development begins. You will also contribute to the UX design of AI-powered features, ensuring that advanced technology feels understandable, predictable, and reassuring to everyday users.
<Key Responsibilities>
Localize and calibrate global consumer cybersecurity products for the Japanese market from a UX perspective.
- Ensure UI patterns, tone of voice, and interaction logic reflect Japanese cultural nuances and usability expectations.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams on early-stage concept validation using prototypes and scenarios.
- Design end-to-end user journeys for mobile and web platforms (flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs).
- Contribute to the global design system and create components when needed.
- Collaborate with Visual Designers, UX Researchers, and Content Writers to deliver coherent product experiences.
- Improve the clarity, reassurance, and trustworthiness of AI-powered security features.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in UX or Product Design.
- Strong background in B2C consumer products (e.g., mobile apps, lifestyle services, finance, or cybersecurity).
Language Skills
- Japanese:
Ability to conduct user interviews, collaborate daily with Japanese Product and Marketing teams, and understand user expectations around tone of voice, cultural nuances, and emotional reassurance. - English:
Business-level English for collaboration with global teams and participation in design discussions.
Communication support and documentation assistancewill be provided for collaboration with global teams in English.
Design Tools
- Advanced proficiency in Figma.
- Ability to create interactive prototypes for concept validation and alignment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, HCI, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing B2C products with responsibility for user trust, reassurance, or long-term retention.
- Experience with aging populations, inclusive design, or accessibility (a11y).
- Experience collaborating with Product and Marketing teams on early-stage concept validation.
- Experience designing AI-driven or data-driven products.
- Ability to communicate Japanese market insights clearly to global teams in English.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, HCI, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
