  • Lead financial control. Influence strategy. Drive commercial impact.

At Versent, we help organisations realise the full value of cloud, data and digital technologies. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager to play a critical leadership role across our finance function and broader business.

This is a senior role with strong visibility and influence, partnering closely with the CFO, GM Finance and Executive team to deliver high-quality financial insight, governance and commercial outcomes across a growing group of companies.

As Senior Finance Manager, you’ll lead the financial control function, ensuring strong financial management, statutory compliance and accurate, actionable reporting. You’ll balance hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, while contributing to strategic decision-making across the Group.

This role works across multiple business units and functions — including Finance, Operations, HR and Commercial — and plays a key role in shaping how finance supports growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and develop a high-performing financial control team

  • Partner with the CFO, GM Finance and Executive team to provide insight, risk identification and forecasting

  • Own Group cash flow, treasury and banking relationships

  • Deliver statutory financial reporting including consolidated Group accounts

  • Manage tax compliance across Income Tax, BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax

  • Oversee year-end audit processes and external auditor relationships

  • Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, ERP design, controls and processes

  • Deliver high-quality Board and Executive reporting in collaboration with FP&A

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities

  • Provide commercial insight through financial modelling and business partnering

  • Contribute to governance, optimisation and finance transformation initiatives

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA or CA qualification

  • Strong experience in financial control, statutory reporting, tax and compliance

  • Background in professional services, technology, consulting or similar environments

  • Proven experience leading and developing finance teams

  • Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into insight

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders on governance, risk and financial matters

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

If you’re looking for a senior finance role where you can lead, influence and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
