Funny name, serious business
We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $11.22 million AUD (roughly $7.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.
With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.
A bit about the role
We’re growing fast, and so is our need for scalable tech environments to support our team while they continue to do incredible work around the world. As we find more moments of collaboration and productivity in our global virtual world, we’ll be able to find more ways to meaningfully connect, and achieve our mission together.
Reporting to our Head of Systems Operations & Transformation, the shiny new role of Systems & Solutions Analyst, will help us gain & maintain clarity of all our systems, platforms, and applications, and how they relate to processes and data flows across Who Gives A Crap. This role will design solution requirements that improve our processes and drive efficiencies at a global scale.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in
- Maps, maps, and more maps! You’ve mapped out our core systems and processes for the ERP and CyberSecurity
- Worked closely with the highly cross-functional ERP project team to build out the business process documentation that will be established, changed, or overhauled on the back of the ERP implementation
- Partnered with the Test Lead and Test Writer to prepare for testing
- Spent time with our CyberSecurity Lead drafting a slick systems diagram
- You’re also going deep to analyse existing systems and business processes against the newly drafted cybersecurity policies to identify the gaps and areas of improvement that we need to address in line with the policies
- You’re also having lots of fun getting to know our team and partners around the world.
Let’s talk about you
You’re great at discovering and solving complex problems
Whenever you’re analysing messy data or a convoluted process, you can quickly identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Because what you suggest leverages both technology and business processes they easily embed and unlock further efficiency in our ways of working. You’re also very comfortable if solutions don’t present themselves immediately as that’s the nature of complex and ambiguous environments.
You speak fluent “tech” and you are welcoming and inclusive to all
You put people at ease even when communicating complex, hard to understand stuff. When presenting technical information to non-technical teams and stakeholders, you make sure it’s relevant, and in a way that is clearly understood, and can help guide decision making.
You love a detailed map
You strive for accuracy and completeness of your technical specifications, solution designs, and project plans. Speaking of projects, you’re able to map and manage a few at a time and prioritise the most important tasks that align to our team and business goals so we’ve always got momentum.
You’re soooo on trend and best practice is your bestie!
You’re a fan of aligning technical solutions with business goals to ensure they deliver the right value. You stay up-to-date with technology trends, their business applications, and the standards that need to be met in order to use them safely and considerately.
You’re a trusted cross-functional partner
You’re on the move meeting with teams to understand their strategic needs and magically transform them into new solutions that leave people thinking, “how did they do it?”. Along the way, you’re in close contact, perhaps run a few workshops and launch the coolest (most future proof) new systems or solutions.
You give a crap
Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!
Why should you work with us?
First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.
We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).
Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (98%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.
Have you made it this far?
If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
Something looks off?
