The ROLE:
The Senior Manager Sales is responsible for collaborating & driving Milk Makeup’s retail growth across our key accounts: Sephora North America & Ulta Beauty. This role will support and execute the retail strategy for both traditional brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Milk Makeup's overall business objectives for Ulta Beauty & Sephora North America. The Senior Manager will support in driving sales administration, retailer follow up & follow through, business analytics, and building strong relationships with retail partners that in turn develop strategies to accelerate growth in his/her key account group. This role reports directly to the Senior Director Sales, North America and is central to the planning & success in their key account.
What YOU’ll do:
Account Management Expertise
- Nurture and build strong, long-term relationships with retail partners. Serve as a point of contact for retail partners, acting as an advocate for Milk and ensuring the brand’s goals are effectively communicated and supported within each retailer account.
- Collaborate on joint business planning in partnership with the GM North America, Sr. Director of Retail and Sr. Director of Trade Marketing on specific strategies to drive sales, elevate the brand presence, and maximize growth across channels (in-store, online, and omnichannel).
- Support in maintaining all internal + external marketing calendars & side by side account planning to ensure that product launches, campaigns, and activations are aligned with retailer needs and maximize exposure.
- Cross-check that brand guidelines and creative assets are executed consistently and appropriately across all retail partners, both in-store and online.
Retailer Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide regular reporting summaries for his/her accounts.
- Weekly & Monthly Sales Recaps
- Quarterly Business Review & Year End Recaps
- Core, Innovation, & Key Promotion performance
- Set and track KPIs to evaluate and adjust retail strategies, ensuring alignment with both long-term and short-term business goals: KPIs include
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to ensure Milk Makeup’s retail strategy remains relevant, innovative, and competitive.
Cross Functional Excellence
- Collaborate with Sales Partners, Marketing, Creative and Product teams to ensure the retailer strategy is fully integrated into broader Go-To-Market and product launch plans.
- Responsible for maintaining accuracy in all internal marketing calendars & side by side for each retail account. Ensure that product launches, retailer activations and deliverables are up-to-date and being communicated to key cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support in the project management of all retailer activations, providing retailer guidelines, product priorities and key deadlines for cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Trade Marketing, Marketing, Planning & Operations teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and alignment with retailer requirements.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Retail, Sr. Director of Trade Marketing & Finance by managing and submitting all invoices on a timely basis.
We’d Like YOU to Have:
- Education: College degree required and MBA a plus
- 3+ years of experience in retail sales, account administration, and/or retail marketing, or a related field, ideally within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries.
- Understanding of Sephora North America and/or Ulta Beauty ways of working, administrative systems, and account management expertise a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from sales data, retailer portal, and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, DAASH, Power Point, and Sales Administration.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building effective partnerships.
