About the Role

The Director of Field Marketing builds and leads the local marketing engine that fuels community connection, store growth, and brand visibility. This role develops the strategy, tools, and playbook that empower General Managers and Retail leaders to execute impactful grassroots activations consistently and effectively.

The Director of Field Marketing is both architect and operator—balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution and on-site leadership to bring Pressed’s brand to life at the local level. From 5Ks and school partnerships to corporate coupon programs and community fairs, this leader ensures that something meaningful happens every week in every store.

Key Responsibilities

Local Store Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and own Pressed’s Field Marketing Playbook—a scalable toolkit for store-level activations that drive awareness, traffic, and trial.
  • Design and oversee a steady cadence of grassroots marketing activities across all stores, including fitness events, school partnerships, community fairs, and local collaborations.
  • Build and manage relationships with community partners, gyms, schools, and local businesses to increase store visibility and engagement.
  • Create and manage promotional offers, coupon codes, and sampling programs to support store-level acquisition and loyalty goals.
  • Ensure programs align with Pressed’s brand standards and seasonal marketing calendar.

Event Ownership & On-Site Leadership

  • Lead planning, logistics, and execution for all major local and regional events, ensuring seamless delivery, brand consistency, and strong ROI.
  • Provide on-site leadership at key activations, ensuring exceptional experiences for partners, guests, and team members.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet event objectives, contractual deliverables, and brand expectations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, event budgets, and post-event reporting.

Playbook Design & Store Enablement

  • Create guides and resources that help Retail leadership plan and execute their own local activations.
  • Partner with Retail Operations to embed local marketing ownership into store routines and leadership development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions and regular communications to share best practices, celebrate success stories, and idea-sharing across markets.
  • Visit stores regularly to model execution excellence and strengthen field partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Orientation

  • Work with internal stakeholders (Innovation, and Retail Operations teams) to align field marketing with national campaigns and new product launches.
  • Maintain a results-oriented approach to field and event marketing—tracking outcomes, assessing ROI, and adapting tactics accordingly.
  • Ensure all local programs support broader business objectives, including traffic, sales, and brand affinity.
  • Represent the field perspective within marketing and business planning discussions.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Define key performance indicators for field marketing programs, including traffic lift, trial conversion, and brand awareness metrics.
  • Develop reporting tools to track campaign and event performance by market and activation type.
  • Use data insights and feedback from the field to refine playbooks and improve efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in field, brand, or experiential marketing within a multi-unit retail, food & beverage, or lifestyle brand.
  • Proven ability to design and scale local marketing programs that balance brand consistency with local creativity.
  • Strong project management and event operations skills, with experience leading logistics and on-site teams.
  • Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Data-driven, highly organized, and comfortable managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to markets and events.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
