The ROLE:

As the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for achieving (and exceeding) the planned retail sales goals in an assigned territory through the development of your SEE, SEC, and SES team, in-store Sephora teams, as well as management and execution of special events. This role reports into the US Field Sales Director. A strong understanding of clean beauty, genuine & contagious affinity for MILK Makeup product, delivery of high-touch service, and focus on client development are keys to success. A strong communicator, the Regional Manager will help to drive and execute key initiatives, optimize category strategies while leading best-in-class sales, training, and education. Act as a seasoned professional to support existing Sales & Education Executives and newly onboarded agency staff.

What YOU’ll do:

Retail Sales & Education:

  • Responsible for driving sales across the Milk Makeup brand throughout your designated region to exceed budget by creating effective selling, eventing, education and customer experience strategies.
  • Responsible for allocating your teams and T&E budget (re-allocating as necessary) and maintaining a schedule for travel, relationship building, in store eventing, and staff training.
  • Work with district retail partners on the planning and execution of training activations within your assigned Sephora/Ulta region ensuring alignment with key launches and brand priorities.
  • Track retail sales against goals. Identify opportunities for increased sales within a territory, analyze the business and proactively take corrective action to get results.
  • Review and analyze all retail sales and productivity reports and create a 6 month rolling business plan to achieve sales goals.
  • Consistently lead by example and share best practices.
  • Participate in onboarding/ training, product training, team development and share sales and training techniques as part of a collaborative global field team.
  • Demonstrate role model selling behaviors, side by side coaching, artistry techniques and the ability to provide and accept actionable feedback.
  • Know and respect Sephora & Ulta Policy by reviewing and following all guides available on the Brand Education Portal including OLR, gratis programs, in store regulations, health and safety measures, and by completing any required brand courses in a timely manner.
  • Support the recruitment of SEE, SEC, SES, and freelance employees within your region. As well as manage reviewing invoices, surveys and scheduling via Connect Team.
  • In the event that an area is not supported by a field member, hire and manage to support the market. Elevate the need for a SEE when the territory warrants.
  • Conduct quarterly in-person market visits to key cities across assigned regions, coaching field teams and evaluating brand execution.
  • A minimum of 20% of weekly working hours should be allocated to in-store activity, and the Regional Manager is expected to provide support to local markets during significant activations and high-priority, goal-driven in-store events.

Merchandising and Stock:

  • Observe, investigate, and follow-up to ensure visual merchandising compliance for all in store fixtures such as maintaining optimized inventory levels, proper tester maintenance, gondola and fixture cleanliness.
  • Responsible for ensuring MMU is a priority among Sephora & Ulta store leadership and staff
  • Ensure all necessary steps are taken to communicate and influence stock issues and follow up in a timely manner.
  • The OOS tracker must be completed on a weekly basis.
  • Successfully implement all in store merchandising programs; ensure the consistent implementation of on-time merchandising updates, uphold MILK Makeup’s image, identity and hygiene in accordance with MILK Makeup standards.

Communication:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with District and Regional Managers as well as in store leadership within your region.
  • Analyze regional performance trends against national benchmarks and the brand’s total performance.
  • Lead touchbase business meetings in person or remotely with Sephora/Ulta district and store leadership on a regular basis. Based on those conversations, develop action plans that will support both Milk Makeup and Retailer goals.
  • Inform in-store, district-level, and regional-level Sephora/Ulta teams in your assigned region about relevant marketing, launch, and brand initiatives.
  • Identify and develop underpenetrated markets, creating customized strategies to unlock sales growth.
  • Communicate with your managers as needed with a status update call, and respond to emails and Gchat conversations with a sense of urgency.
  • Schedule weekly 1 on 1 calls with your team to recap sales figures, performance, and growth opportunities.
  • Facilitated quarterly team calls to discuss coming quarter strategy, focuses, and ideate on needs for business growth.
  • Ensure your team maintains a calendar and schedule that accurately reflects their time worked in store, travel, and approved office hours.
  • In conjunction with the US Field Sales Director assist in the strategic placement of support within set region
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and annual sales analysis of business including impact of sales team and Sephora vs Ulta within specific markets.
  • Assist in all logistical, operational and strategy lead PR initiatives as and when needed by upper management within your local markets.
  • Ensure your Executives properly completing weekly, daily, and monthly tasks assigned to them are met on-time. (Connect Team Surveys, Monthly Recaps,1099 Tracker, Call Cycle Grid, Expenses etc.)
  • Submit a Weekly Commentary via Looker, offering an analysis of the business performance within their assigned regions and providing projected insights for the subsequent week, considering scheduled events, activations, and promotions.

Budgets:

  • Ensure your team follows and adheres to travel, expense, gratis, toa, collateral, supply and education budget guidelines as set by your manager.
  • Ensure region specific communicated staffing budget is allocated properly thought the year
  • Use Egencia to book any applicable travel and maintain receipts and records for reporting in concur.
  • Ensure your team turns in all expenses, approved timesheets, and invoices with accuracy and on time.
