Job Overview
Position Summary
This individual will be responsible for implementing Trade Compliance-related projects by analyzing, developing/configuring, and supporting applications in accordance with the TEIS methodologies to support strategic and tactical compliance initiatives. A strong candidate will have a solid background in Trade Compliance topics, including using and supporting automated solutions.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Understand and document trade compliance requirements to determine the needs of the business around trade compliance concerns and suggest automated solutions.
2. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, and work with development teams to implement custom solutions within existing applications/architectures.
3. Interface between business users responsible for Trade Compliance and third-party vendors that implement the solutions in their commercial solutions.
4. Adherence to TE Connectivity best practices and development/project management methodologies.
5. Support Enterprise Applications in adherence to service level agreements (examples include denied party screening, product licensing, product classification, trade compliance reporting, IMMEX processing, Free Trade Agreement qualification, etc.).
6. Analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation (full lifecycle) of smaller automated trade compliance solutions.
7. Creation of Documentation and training materials for support personnel as well as end-users of the applications.
What your background should look like:
Position Requirements/Skills:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience rolling out, configuring, and supporting Trade Compliance applications in an IT capacity.
2. Prior experience with SAP SD Processes is preferred.
3. Experience with commercially available trade compliance software is preferred (OCR Ease, SAP GTS, E2Open, MIC, etc.)
4. Strong technical experience with technologies including Oracle SQL, XML, Integration concepts, and an object-oriented language such as Java or .NET Framework required.
5. Strong technical experience in configuring and installing applications in a Linux environment is preferred.
6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Excellent oral and written communication.
8. Ability to multitask, working on multiple projects at once, while adhering to established project timeframes.
9. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
10. Project Management experience is preferred, but not required.
11. Familiarity with SAP ABAP Development is preferred.
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
Competencies
COMPENSATION
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $99,700 - $149,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
