The Role You’ll Play

As a Technical Business Analyst at Zepto, you will apply your deep payments knowledge to perform in-depth technical analysis for developing, capturing and delivering product requirements at Zepto.

As a key member of the Product team, you will work closely with our Product Managers and Engineering teams to ensure that our technical payments requirements are effectively and correctly scoped for development, meet the needs of payments scheme rules and deliver product payment innovation that is unique to Zepto.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will utilise your subject matter expertise in payment flows to champion our product and proven use cases at Zepto. You will be known for your technical documentation and have a passion for sharing your expertise across the business. You will have the opportunity to contribute to solution design and delivery, working closely with both internal technical resources as well as external parties as required.

Working in a scale-up, means you get the opportunity to flex your skills in a variety of ways. We are agile and always willing to roll up our sleeves to get things done. You can, however, expect your day to day to be involved in the following:

  • Develop technical BA artefacts and product payment flows in line with regulatory requirements, payments scheme rules and Zepto’s product roadmap
  • Contribute to business and technical requirements by working closely with the Product Managers to conduct initial discovery, requirements gathering, analysis and documentation
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to support effective scoping and enable delivery against Zepto’s Product roadmap
  • Conduct Product Showcases, presenting new products and features to internal teams
  • Lead solution design, facilitating sessions with software engineers and our technical architect as required
  • Effectively prioritise activity and backlog in collaboration with the product manager and engineering leaders
  • Conduct detailed analysis on business processes with a focus on identifying opportunities for process optimisation
  • Coordinate QA and UAT processes
  • Assist in troubleshooting support issues and performing root cause analysis
  • Deliver technical requirements ensuring they are aligned with both regulatory mandates and business needs
  • Effectively communication and collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, resulting in successful project outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction

    What You’ll Bring to the Table

    You have a deep understanding of the Australian Payments landscape with experience gained working in the fintech, banking or payments industry.

    You have a strong Solution Design or Technical Business Analysis background and have a solid understanding of REST APIs and API design patterns. Your industry knowledge means that you are abreast of the evolution of account to account payments and the PayTo roadmap.

    You work across the business to ensure you understand the regulatory and compliance landscape applicable to your products. You understand how to focus activity that is relevant to the product life cycle stage. You love your numbers. You know the numbers for your products inside and out. To do this, you also have a great analytical mindset where you understand the costs and benefits of your choices.

    You recognise there are only so many hours in a day and the highest performing teams are empowered ones. As a result you are a sharer of context to empower those you work with to make great decisions.
