ROLE DESCRIPTION

Zoomo’s Supply Chain team is crucial in enabling all markets to achieve their aggressive demand requirements and drive resource allocation decisions. The Supply Chain team is deeply integrated with all functions across the business including Local Operations, Central Operations, Hardware, Finance and Legal and works closely with the Executive team to drive the business’ direction.

We are looking for a Supply Chain Associate to drive our European logistics network, own Zoomo’s OEMs and drive cost down initiatives with 3PLs. In this role you will be responsible for process optimisation in Europe’s Supply Chain and will be the heartbeat of European operations. You will be an integral part of ensuring the Zoomo business meets its growth targets and is set up with resilience to endure disruptions in the currently chaotic global supply chain environment.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with nominated OEM suppliers; being the main contact for all sourcing, contract, production, quality and sustainability related queries.
  • Scope, benchmark and onboard suppliers for new product categories (Cargo Bikes and 3P Storage) as well as working to improve performance of the current supply base as necessary, managing improvement plans and ethical exit programmes if needed.
  • Oversee demand reporting and collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure data accuracy and hygiene.
  • Manage product costing negotiations and value engineering to achieve target cost price and intake margins, troubleshooting and working with senior members of the cross functional product teams for resolution.
  • Use your business judgement to make critical trade-off decisions across various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate attendance across the weekly category cross functional meetings, presenting key sourcing information at product range reviews; as well as regular meetings with commercial and operations functions.
  • Travel to European suppliers and conferences as needed.
  • Ad hoc business requests.
  • Reports into the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, based in London.
  • 2-4+ years of working experience with preference for Strategy & Operations planning experience and/or Supply Chain and Logistics Management experience
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks at once and take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
  • Experience in creating and optimising planning tools and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent excel skills are essential with SQL as a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and decision‐making skills
  • A strong bias for using data to support decision making and establish priorities/strategies; ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insights for a range of stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build and manage strong relationships within the Supply Chain team and across almost every function of the business
  • Alignment with Zoomo’s vision and purpose
  • Additional language (French, German or Spanish) is a plus
